• Yes. Outside of the brand specific clothing, each garment is made individually, either as a one-of-a-kind piece or through a custom commission.

There is no mass production, and no two garments are exactly alike.

  • All garments are designed, patterned, and sewn by me in Canada. Fabrics are sourced locally with quality, longevity, and structure in mind.

  • Custom commissions are welcomed on a limited basis. This may include made-to-measure garments, design adaptations, or fully custom pieces.

Availability depends on current workload and project scope. Please reach out via email (Inquiries@JonVanWorks.ca) or the contact form page to inquire.

  • Once a commission is accepted, we discuss design, fabric, fit, timeline and the final price based on these criteria.

A pattern is modified or drafted specifically for the individual, followed by construction and finishing.

Communication and updates will be maintained throughout the process to ensure clarity and alignment.

  • Timelines vary depending on the complexity of the piece and current demand. Estimated lead times will be provided prior to purchase or commission approval.

As each garment is made individually, lead times are longer than ready-to-wear clothing.

  • Returns and exchanges will be as per the shipping and returns page.

For custom commissions, all sales are final.

If there is an issue with construction or workmanship, please contact me so it can be reviewed and addressed where appropriate.

  • Care instructions will be provided with each piece.

Proper care will help preserve the structure, fit, and longevity of your garment.

When in doubt, gentle handling and professional cleaning are recommended.

  • Jon Van Works follows a slow-fashion approach, producing garments in small quantities with an emphasis on durability and timeless design.

While not positioned as a sustainability brand, intentional production and reduced waste are core to the studio’s process.

  • Outside of brand specific products, garments are one-of-a-kind and will not be restocked.

In some cases, a similar piece may be commissioned depending on fabric availability and design considerations.

  • For inquiries regarding custom commissions, sizing, or general questions, please reach out via email (Inquiries@JonVanWorks.ca) or the contact form page.

I aim to respond within a few business days.
